Up until recently Liposuction removed fat from an entire area without trying to define the underlying muscles or body contours. We have since recognized that the fat is hiding and obscuring the underlying muscle and contours of the body. Therefore, instead of removing fat from everywhere, Liposculpture removes fat from very defines areas to show and reveal underlying muscles.

The non-invasive procedures such as Thermi, Tru Sculpt, Em Sculpt and Cool Sculpting all have been unable to create a sculptured contoured body shape. This is because it is not possible with these methods to remove fat from the areas needed in a selective and precise manner.

Many different types of Liposuction techniques have also been introduced such as Laser Liposuction, Smart Lipo, Laser Liposuction, and Ultrasound Liposuction. Liposculpture is not possible with any of these procedures because the skin would be damaged by the laser, heat, etc.

A new technology, however, called Power Assisted Liposuction (PAL) does allow us to perform true Liposculpture. This new technology uses a small cannula attached to a power source that vibrates the end of the cannula thousands of times per minute. These small vibrations break apart the fat cell easily without effort or damaging the tissue.

Another new use of this technology Is that we can use this to not only remove fat but also to inject fat, for example for a Brazilian Buttock Lift. This allows us to evenly distribute the fat evenly and safely. We call this Power Lipo-Filling.

If you are considering Liposuction these are the new advances now available for great results.
