Mommy Makeover

Pregnancy and childbirth takes its toll both physically and emotionally. Both your body and your life are changed with having a baby. After nine months there are changes to your breasts, tummy, legs and more. Despite steady dieting and workouts often there is no improvement. A new generation of women want to have their pre- pregnancy bodies back. Women want to wear the clothes and do things they did before pregnancy. They want to feel confident. This is why many women are considering a “Mommy Makeover”

A “Mommy Makeover” is personalized depending upon your needs. Usually it is a combination surgery that addresses two major pregnancy related changes of a woman's body—the tummy and the breasts. The procedures are a “Tummy Tuck” AND “Breast Augmentation”, “Breast Lift”, or “Breast Lift with Augmentation”. Depending upon your individual concerns other procedures such as liposuction and labiaplasty may also be done.

It is important to wait at least six months or more after your pregnancy prior to having a “Mommy Makeover”.  You should be in good health. Pregnancy and childbirth puts immense stress upon your body, this time will allow the tissue of the breasts and stomach to heal. It will also give you time for any changes in weight loss after pregnancy to be stable. Do not have “Mommy Makeover” if any future pregnancies are planned.

It is also important that you have adequate time and planning for the recovery from the “Mommy Makeover”. During the first week or more you will need someone to help with childcare and with the everyday tasks. For the first few weeks you will not be able to lift more than 25 pounds. It is important to allow yourself the time to recover properly so that you obtain the best results possible.
