Necklift is often performed in combination with a Face Lift to tighten and remove loose, sagging skin around the neck. The underlying muscles can also be tightened, and liposuction can further enhance the contour of the neckline.
As aging occurs skin laxity and vertical neck bands often become increasingly prominent in the anterior neck. These bands are the result of laxity and separation of the muscles of the neck. A Neck Lift Platysmaplasty corrects this by suturing the separated muscle beneath the chin and releasing and re-suspending the muscle to give a tighter and more defined neck appearance. If needed this procedure is often done in conjunction the MACS Facelift.
