Alex Drago, Pre-Operative Assistant/Patient Coordinator
Alex is pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry at LSU and plans to go to graduate school to pursue her medical degree in Fall 2020. She is a former member of the Golden Band from Tigerland where she was a clarinetist. She loves to read and study Psychology and Philosophy in her free time. She has one cat named Cilantro. Her job at the Plastic Surgery Center is to manage patient intake and correspondence, assist in exam rooms on clinic days when needed, manage the office, and to handle scheduling. While it seems like a lot of tasks, it really is a team effort across the board and they have an amazing group who is able to communicate and work together to keep the office running smoothly. Alex loves how this job always keeps her on her toes, she has to be quick and adaptable because she never knows what is going to pop up next. She is so grateful to have the opportunity to learn as much as she can while she is here and to help the patients feel comfortable and achieve optimal results.
Victoria Quiroz, Office Manager/Patient Coordinator
Victoria graduated high school from St. Scholastica Academy in Covington, Louisiana in 2015. She played for the varsity soccer team and also coached soccer to children ages 3-7. She attended LSU as a Biology major and also played intramural soccer for the three years she attended the University. Victoria switched over to Our Lady of the Lake University in the summer of 2018 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree. Her role at the office is to assist in exam rooms on clinic days, manage the office, respond to patient inquiries, and handle scheduling. Victoria absolutely loves working for Dr. Williams because she learns so much on a daily basis. It can be really fast-pace, but she likes the challenge of multi-tasking and adapting to different situations. The staff really works together to provide patients with the best care and she love being able to help patients achieve their desired outcome. Victoria is extremely grateful for this job because it helps to prepare her for her future career in the medical field. She hopes to work and gain experience and then eventually go back to school to get her license as a Nurse Practitioner.
Brittany Morgan, Operating Room and Recovery Nurse
I grew up in Albany, Louisiana. In high school, I took a nursing assistant program where I fell in love with the nursing profession and found my passion for helping people. I graduated from Albany High School in 2010 as a Certified Nursing Assistant and continued my education at Southeastern Louisiana University. In 2014, I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing. During nursing school, I was presented with the Evelyn Davis Award for displaying characteristics of enthusiasm for the nursing profession, professionalism in nursing, and caring. I proceeded to take my examination to become a registered nurse and started working at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, Louisiana. I worked on varies units of the hospital including OB/GYN, pediatrics, well baby and intermediate care nurseries. In March of 2018, I was recognized with the Nurse Excellence Award from North Oaks Medical Center. I currently work at The Plastic Surgery Center as one of the primary nurses and continue to work at North Oaks on the pediatric unit as needed. At The Plastic Surgery Center I take care of patients during surgery. I help get them ready for surgery, circulate in the operating room during surgery, and recover the patients after surgery. I am the perfect fit working in the field of plastic surgery because I enjoy helping others and putting a smile on their faces. I get to help patients look and feel their best while increasing their confidence. When I am not working, I am either studying or spending time with family. I am currently working towards a master’s degree to become a Nurse Practitioner. I married my husband in 2016 and we just welcomed our first baby, Tucker, in 2018.
"Babs" Spano, Registered Nurse
Babs grew up in Denham Springs, where she graduated high school in 2006. She became a licensed massage therapist in 2007 and worked as an LMT throughout college. Babs graduated as a registered nurse from Baton Rouge Community College in 2014. Shortly after, she married my husband and moved to Hattiesburg, MS where she worked as a nurse in the emergency department, Geri-Psych and medical surgical units. After briefly living in New York Babs, her husband, and her son moved back to Louisiana and now happily live in Baton Rouge. She started working for Dr. Williams as the primary nurse in 2015 and have been here ever since. At work her job is to assist patients throughout their entire surgery process. In clinic Babs walks patients through the pre and post-operative process and on surgery days. She circulates the operating room and recover the patients after surgery. She enjoys working in Plastic Surgery because she believes everyone has the right to look and feel their best, whether it be through cosmetic surgery or fitness and exercise. Outside of work at The Plastic Surgery Center, she is the owner and instructor of TWRL Fitness. She enjoys camping, traveling and spending time with her growing family.
Dione Grisby, CST Certified Surgical Technologist
Dionne graduated from Our Lady of the Lake College in 2002. She received her Associate’s Degree as a Surgical Technologist and later became certified. She is currently working as a Certified Surgical Technologist at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center where she has been for the past 17 years, as well as The Plastic Surgical Center of Baton Rouge where she has been for the past 10 years. Dionne’s role as a Certified Surgical Technologist is to assist in Surgical operations, prepare operating rooms, arrange equipment, and help doctors during surgeries by passing sterile instruments. Outside of work she loves to watch movies, go shopping, treat herself at the spa, and enjoy vacations with her family. Overall, Dionne says she really loves and enjoys her job as a Surgical Tech because she gets to work with an amazing doctor and staff doing amazing work where she can see how what they do can change people’s lives.
Rebecca Harriss, CST
Rebecca grew up in New Orleans where she graduated from Charity School of Surgical Technology in 1985. After completing Surgical Technology, she worked as a Certified Surgical Tech for an ENT doctor in New Orleans. This was private practice outpatient surgery with a variety of both ENT and cosmetic procedures. Rebecca and her family moved to Baton Rouge in 1986. Rebecca and her husband have two sons. One of her sons is doing a residency in Internal Medicine. Her younger son is finishing at LSU. Because she preferred a non- hospital position, she was fortunate to find the Plastic Surgery Center—a private out-patient Plastic Surgery Facility. She has been working as a surgical tech for Dr. Williams at the Plastic Surgery Center ever since. She enjoys working in Plastic Surgery because she gets the opportunity to directly help and see their patients achieve their goals in the Operating room. Her favorite surgery to assist with is a Breast Augmentation. Outside of the office, Rebecca loves the Louisiana weather because she loves to garden.
Jennifer grew up in Mississippi where she graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. After obtaining her Registered Nurse license, she started her career in Mississippi in Med-Surg and Pediatric Nursing, and then transitioned to the operating room. Jennifer became a travel nurse in New Orleans in 2007, and it was during this time that she met her future husband. Jennifer and her daughter moved to Baton Rouge in 2008 and continued to work in the operating room. She married in October of 2010 and now has two girls. She started working for Dr. Williams in 2018 and now has over 15 years of operating room experience. Jennifer’s job with Dr. Williams involves preparing patients on the day of surgery, circulating the operating room during the procedure, and recovering patients after their surgery. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, making hand stamped jewelry, traveling with my family, and supporting her daughters in soccer and recreational and high school cheerleading.
